My volunteer experience was extremely beneficial as someone who was working towards entering the teaching program. I was lucky enough to volunteer at three different schools within the SD73 district in three different grades. My first experience in the classroom was in a grade 9 math and science class at then, Brock middle school. I then volunteered in a grade 5 class at Juniper elementary. Finally, my final volunteer experience was in a grade 2 class at Aberdeen elementary. I really appreciated all the different age groups. It was an awesome experience to witness the variety of curriculum across the grades. As well as the different tasks and schoolwork the students would do.
