Last semester, I received a bursary and it really helped me appreciate the support systems around me. Receiving financial aid whether it is an award, bursary, or student loans helps me understand students who do face financial or personal barriers. The bursary also infocred the importance of education in my life because other people are investing into my future. It is important for teachers to know that their students will come from all walks of life and facing financial hardship does not define their futures. We should offer students all of the support that we can to help them achieve their goals.
