This assignment taught me to think in a different perspective when looking at alternate education. Growing up in Kamloops, I thought that TREC was the school that all the bad kids go to. Now, I know that it is a safe space for students to attend when the traditional school system is just not working for them. This assignment has helped me to research before judgement and it has also made me interested in the alternate education space.
