My anthology for Jenny Shaw was a big impact and a very meaningful assignment. This was a 3rd year Feminist Theory Sociology course. Our anthologies were the final assignment for this course. My anthology focused on self-love pieces and the importance of ecofeminism. As a future educator, teaching and learning about self-love is very important to me. I want to model healthy behaviour as a leader. Students learn from how you carry yourself as well and when you show them self-worth, resilience and self-care they will foster those traits as well. It is important to me to help students grow into confident beings. As a future teacher, it is important to me to empower all children but especially young girls. Students should be encouraged to take leadership roles in advocating for environmental and social justice!
